Social Networking & Social BookmarkingSocial Networking If you are familiar with websites such as MySpace, FaceBook, Squidoo, etc. then those are social networking sites. Many people actually build their businesses around these spaces on the 'net simply by being sociable, posting blogs and bulletins and of course, providing links to their business on their profile. I am not the social networking expert by any means, but Michelle MacPherson is and she has created a FREE guide called, "Social Media Daily" that can give you some GREAT pointers on using these various sites to your advantage. In order to get her free report, you do have to sign up for her newsletter but you can unsubscribe from it at anytime if you don't feel there is any value to her emails. Read the material in the report in it's entirety, but don't try to implement EVERY single thing and don't try to join every single site recommended. If you are already on any of the social sites, start by telling your story. Talk about what led you to whatever it is you're doing whether it's a home biz, a starter company that you created, a book that you wrote, etc. and just be YOU. Social networking sites are not really where you want to try and do a lot of hard-selling but you're there to make acquaintances and see if and how you can help others. You're building relationships, basically. THE FORMULA FOR "MYSTORY MARKETING ON MYSPACE I have a document that was given to me by one of my mentors and it's called "MyStory Marketing". This is document gives you an idea of how you should be using your My Space page in order to tell about yourself and present your story to others. Just right-click on the link and save the document to your hard drive: My Story Marketing
